EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTRE DESIGN AND OPERATIONS (EOC 200)

A highly interactive workshop teaching the techniques to achieve success and the processes required to implement an Emergency Operations Centre for your organization. The workshop is designed to be fast paced with many opportunities for participation and discussion.

The instructor will walk participants through all of the steps involved in preparing an Emergency Operations Centre. Course content includes:

• How the EOC is staffed, organized and activated
• Roles and responsibilities of EOC resources
• Key roles in ICS and corresponding roles for the EOC
• Elements of ICS/IMS
• Reporting to the Policy Group (Executive Committee) with sample briefing plans
• Describe the role that EOCs play in overall multiagency, multi-stakeholder coordination
• Describe the relationship between the EOC and the on-scene Incident Command System (ICS) structure
• Identify potential alternate locations suitable for EOC operations should the primary EOC facility become damaged or inoperable
